Unlawful Flight To Avoid Prosecution
Murder Suspect Back In Custody After Gutless Judge Secretly Releases Him
This is not Jeroid John Price, the murderer sentenced to 35 years for killing a man. This is someone much worse.
This is “Judge” Casey Manning, a gutless coward who secretly issued an order on his very last day in office before retiring to release a convicted murderer 16 years early.
Manning’s ruling was never approved by the area’s chief judge, which is required by law, nor was it signed with proper notification to the victim’s family, also required. And if that wasn’t enough, South Carolina state law requires convicted murderers to serve at least 30 years.
Reportedly, Manning may have tried to secretly release Price because he was acting as a snitch and helping prison guards. That’s like releasing killer bees on the public because they make a little honey!
After the murderer was released, a true Judge overruled Manning’s secret order, and a warrant was issued to get Price back behind bars where he belongs. After being on the run for about three months, the $30,000 reward offered for Price’s re-capture spurred a tip that resulted in his arrest. The FBI and NYPD picked him up, and he is now back where he should be… in a cage.
